The quantity of inbound delivery items can be received from ERP in an alternative unit of measure (AUoM) or changed to an appropriate AUoM in EWM. Stock items in goods receipt posting are handled like packed items (handling units) in opportunistic cross-docking processes. The system handles whole AUoMs or quantities in the base UoM if they are available for cross-docking. You can override the standard behaviour by creating new Business Add-In (BAdI) implementations for the BAdIs Activate and Adjust Inbound-Triggered Cross Docking Process and Activate and Adjust Outbound-Triggered Cross Docking Process, which you can find in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under   Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for Extended Warehouse Management   Cross-Process Settings   Cross-Docking (CD)   Opportunistic Cross-Docking   EWM-Triggered Opportunistic Cross-Docking  .
