The difference analyzer groups the differences by stock attributes. For SUoM-relevant products the differences are also separated by the AUoM. That way the differences of the various AUoMs are kept separate when posting them to ERP cumulatively.

Besides SUoM relevance, how the ERP interface is set up also determines whether the system creates a separate sum line for each AUoM. Only if the AUoM is communicated to the ERP system it is necessary to keep the differences separated.

Whether the AUoM is sent to the ERP system is controlled by the setting Communicate Alternative UoM to GM Interface in the Customizing activity Set Control Parameters for ERP Version Control. You can find this activity in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under   Interfaces   ERP Integration   General Settings  .

Example

For an SUoM-relevant product there are differences with +3 C06, -1 C06, +2 C10 and -4 C10. If communication of the AUoM to the ERP system is activated, the difference analyzer displays two sum lines with +2 C06 and -2 C10 which can only be posted separately to ERP. If communication of the AUoM to the ERP system is deactivated, the difference analyzer displays only one sum line with -8 EA as all the differences are summed up in the base UoM.
