Example documentationConfiguration of a Form UIBB for an Entity Type Locate this document in the navigation structure

This example illustrates a typical procedure after creating the entity type Account and creating a user-interface building block (UIBB) of the type Form.

Prerequisites

You are in the Floorplan Manager (FPM) in the configuration of the form UIBB.

Activities

  1. You choose Add Group and enter in the Text field the value Control in Chart of Accounts as the name of the group.

  2. You configure the group as follows:

    1. You choose Configure Group, add a Melting Group as well as the Account Type field in the dialog box that appears, and confirm the dialog box.

    2. You configure the melting group as follows:

      1. In the hierarchy, you select the Melting Group element and choose Configure Melting Group.

      2. In the dialog box that appears, you select the fields Account Group and Description Account Group and confirm the dialog box.

      3. You assign the FPM event ID USMD_ENTER to the input field for the account group. Specifying this means that the system refreshes the description when the Enter key is pressed.

      4. In the Description Account Group field, you select Text View as the display type and select the value None for the visibility of the label.

    3. You configure the account type as follows:

      1. You select Dropdown as the display type for the Account Type field.

      2. You then assign the FPM event ID USMD_ENTER to the dropdown field Account Type. Specifying this means that the system triggers a roundtrip when a value is selected from the dropdown list box, allowing dependent UIBB fields to be changed by means of a Business Add-In (USMD_UI_EVENT2).

    4. You save your entries.

  3. You choose Add Group and enter Indicator as the name of the group.

    1. You configure the group as follows: You add the checkboxes Blocked for Creation and Blocked for Posting and select the display type Checkbox for each.

    2. You save your entries.

  4. You choose Add Group and enter Revision as the name of the group.

    1. You configure the group as follows: You add individual check fields and select the display type Text View. (SAP delivers a separate group for checks fields. This allows you to select all of these fields at once if required.)

  5. Then you save the configuration settings of the form.

  6. To create further main views and UIBBs, switch to the main screen for FPM component configuration by means of the page history (displayed as a path description).
