Communication of Goods Movements from EWM to SAP ERP
The system communicates goods movements such as physical inventory differences (transaction Difference Analyzer), initial stock upload (transaction Stock Data Transfer) and ad-hoc posting changes (transaction Make Posting Change for Product) to SAP ERP by means of goods movement messages (interface name: /SPE/GOODSMVT_CREATE).
The system communicates goods movements of delivery-related stock (for example, in the inbound process, posting change from a stock type of an availability group to another) to SAP ERP by means of a goods movement message (interface name: /SPE/GOODSMVT_CREATE).
The transaction Stock Comparison ERP does not post any goods movement in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). It posts them only in SAP ERP. The system does not create a goods movement message for this communication.
The system communicates goods movements with reference to deliveries (for example, goods receipt for an inbound delivery, goods issue for an outbound delivery, posting change for a posting change delivery) from EWM to SAP ERP by means of delivery messages. For more information, see Communication from EWM to SAP ERP.
You have made settings in Customizing for the integration with SAP ERP. For more information, see Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under .
In SAP ERP, for each plant and storage location you have defined whether you manage your warehouse in a separate, decentralized EWM.
You have transmitted all information to EWM that EWM requires for the goods movements. These include the following:
Partner master data (for example, customers or vendors linked to the ERP plant, vendors for vendor consignment stock)
Product master data - Stock types in EWM (see Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under )
A goods movement message communicates the product and quantity information (including batches and serial numbers) but does not contain any handling unit (HU) information. The system only communicates HUs to SAP ERP through the delivery interface.
If a goods movement message contains more than 499 items, the system splits it into several messages to avoid having more than 999 items in the financial document on the SAP ERP side.
Communication of goods movement messages is asynchronous and uses queued Remote Function Call (qRFC) technology. This technology guarantees serialization of the messages. The system sends goods movements of delivery-related stock to the queue of the related delivery upon execution of a delivery-related PPF action.
The system sends all other goods movements to a mass queue for goods movement immediately upon posting of the goods movement
Goods movements posted with the transaction Stock Comparison ERP do not use the qRFC technology. They are posted synchronously in SAP ERP.
To create goods movement messages, you must perform the relevant processes using the appropriate transaction. To do so, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose one of the followings:
