The task of the Warehouse Expert is to configure the warehouse (layout) and the warehouse processes, to execute warehouse processes, and to monitor warehouse processes and process exceptions.

Activities in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)

Typical activities for this role are as follows:

  • Set up warehouse and maintain assignments

  • Monitor warehouse processes using monitors, cockpits, and dashboards

  • Maintain wave templates and their conditions

  • Maintain prices and stock comparison from ERP

  • Maintain RFID settings

  • Maintain storage bin and storage type master data and hazard ratings

  • All activities for physical inventory, inbound delivery processing, and outbound delivery processing
