Importing a Business System
You use this procedure to import business systems from the System Landscape Directory. A business system is an actual application system which functions as a sender or receiver of messages within SAP NetWeaver Process Integration. It comprises information about the sender and receiver interfaces, and the assigned software components. You can import business systems of type AS Java, AS ABAP, standalone, or third-party business systems from the System Landscape Directory. A business system can be an SAP system or a third-party system.
In the PI Explorer, select the Systems category and choose Import Business System from the context menu.
In the Business System dialog, choose Import.
Note
Business systems defined in the SLD are cached in the Integration Directory during start-up. Later, if any new business system is defined in the SLD, you need to reload this cache.
To create a business system in the System Landscape Directory, choose Create in SLD.
The type of connection to SLD, either secured or unsecured, depends on the connection protocol (HTTP/HTTPS) configured for the Integration Directory.
In the Import Business System dialog, select the business systems you want to import.
Choose Finish.
Note
You can see the list of business systems under the Systems category in the PI Explorer.
