Adding a Precondition 
You can set rules (from the current ruleset or a reusable ruleset) as preconditions to another rule. When you set a precondition, the existing rule gets fired only when the precondition is satisfied.

Procedure
From the Overview of Project “<project-name>” section, select the required ruleset, flow ruleset node, or reusable ruleset.
Choose Open.
From the Rules section, select the rule to which you want to add a precondition.
Choose Open.
In the rule editor that appears, choose Add precondition.
From the drop down menu, perform one of the following as required:
If you want to set the rule from the current ruleset as the precondition, select a rule name.
If you want to set a rule of a reusable ruleset as the precondition, proceed as follows:
Select theSet Reusable Rule option.
From the dialog box that appears, select the required reusable rule.
Choose Apply.
Note
If you want to delete a precondition, select the corresponding radio button and from the context menu choose Delete.
