The tasks of the shipping office clerk are to fulfill certain activities in execution of outbound delivery processes across SAP ERP and SAP EWM. This role also allows the shipping office clerk to perform all relevant activities in an integrated outbound process with transportation planning in SAP TM.
Typical activities of the shipping office clerk in an outbound process are:
Processing of vehicles and transportation units
Creation of door assignment
Monitoring of the outbound process
Among these activities, this role allows you to display predecessor documents such as sales orders, deliveries, and shipments in SAP ERP.
If your SAP EWM system is running on top of your SAP ERP system, adjust the role as described in the system role documentation. If your SAP EWM system is running on an instance other than your SAP ERP system, you must set up the RFC destination for the variable ERP using transaction SM30_SSM_RFC.
