After you have developed, built, and deployed your Mobile Application, you can run it on the Mobile Client for Handhelds.

Prerequisites

You have deployed a Mobile Application.

Procedure

  1. In the Service /Handheld UI /Application Explorers, select a development component or the Mobile Application.

  2. From the context menu, choose   Run As   Mobile Application on Handheld  .

    This automatically generates an Eclipse run configuration that can subsequently be started directly using   Run As   Open Run Dialog   .

  3. In the Run dialog, expand the SAP Application node and select the required runtime configuration.

  4. Select the Runtime tab and, depending on the mobile runtime you want to use, choose:

    • Win32 simulator

    • Device connected through ActiveSync

Result

In a local environment, for testing purposes for example, the Mobile Client for Handhelds appears on your desktop, if you have defined your machine as the deploy location.
