Fixing Objects for Optimization
Activities, operations, and orders can be fixed during optimization; that is, the system cannot reschedule them. If time relationships or pegging relationships exist between fixed objects and non-fixed objects, the system can only reschedule the non-fixed objects such that these relationships or pegging relationships are not violated.
· The following objects are fixed for optimization:
¡ Activities that do not lie, or only partially lie, within the optimization range
¡ Started, partially confirmed or finally confirmed operations
¡
Operations that you
fixed in the
production planning run or in the DS planning board
¡ Sales orders
¡ Planned independent requirements
¡ Activities that start or end within a fixing interval for a resource
¡ Activities that belong to the same locked activity chain as the activities that are fixed for optimization
You can fix the following objects for the optimization as required:
¡ Selected order categories (for example, in-house production orders or external procurement orders)
¡ Orders that only lie partially in the optimization range
¡ Released orders
¡ Orders that contain started, partially confirmed, or finally confirmed operations
¡ Orders that contain activities that are already fixed for optimization
¡ Scheduled operations, if you have specified in the optimization profile that only deallocated orders should be scheduled by the optimization
You enter the corresponding settings when calling up the optimization, or in the optimization profile on the Order processing tab page.
