Integration of Inspection Lots with a Quantity
of Zero
In SAP R/3, inspection lots for which the quantity to be posted is reduced to zero are not deleted. They continue to exist but are no longer relevant to planning. If an initial data transfer for inspection lots is executed (an integration model is activated for inspection lots), these inspection lots are not transferred to SAP APO, which is beneficial for performance.

However, if inspection lots with a quantity of zero need to be created in the initial data transfer, you can set this in SAP R/3 by using customer exit QAPO0001. As of SAP R/3 4.0B, you call this customer exit in the APO Core Interface Implementation Guide (CIF IMG) by choosing Application-Specific Settings and Enhancements → Settings and Enhancements for Inspection Lots → Transfer Inspection Lots with a Quantity of Zero to SAP APO.
If an active integration model for integration lots exists and you reduce the quantity to be posted for an inspection lot to zero in SAP R/3, this change is automatically transferred to SAP APO and leads to a deletion of the inspection lot there.
If an active integration model for inspection lotsdoes not exist (for example, because it was temporarily deactivated) and you reduce the quantity to be posted for an inspection lot in SAP R/3, this change cannot be transferred. The inconsistency that this causes is not rectified once the integration model is reactivated (see above). In this case, we recommend that you use the compare/reconcile function (transaction /SAPAPO/CCR) rectify the inconsistency by deleting the inspection lot in SAP APO.
