Settings for the Detailed Planning Process 

Prerequisites

You have transferred the ATP Customizing from SAP R/3 to SAP APO.

Maintain Check Mode

During the Customizing transfer the system created a check mode in SAP APO for the SAP R/3 demand class of the planning strategy. In the field Production Type of the check mode you either choose the setting Standard (ATP check based on time series) or Characteristic Evaluation (ATP check based on PP/DS).

Maintain Check Instructions

You add the check instruction for the business events A and AE:

Maintain Check Control

In the check control of the ATP group that you have transferred from SAP R/3 you set the Consider checking horizon indicator for the business events A and AE.

Settings in the PP/DS Customizing

Maintain Planning Procedure

You create a new PP planning procedure by copying the PP planning procedure 4 Planning in Planning Run and making the following settings:

Settings in the Product Master of the Finished Product

       1.      In the product master, check that the check mode and the checking horizon have been transferred from SAP R/3.

       2.      Enter the PP planning procedure in the product master.
