Integration of TSW with Global Trade Management (GTM)
This function enables an integrated scheduling and trading process in one system. With the integration of TSW details in the trading contract it is possible to integrate the existing TSW application with a trading solution. The trading contract is a preceding document of sales or purchase orders in the existing TSW process flow. Also, Global Trade Management (GTM) serves as the main interface between the SAP trading contract handling and a third party trading solution.
For more information, see SAP Library
under .
TSW Railcar Management
This function helps the user to track the quantity loaded/discharged in each transport units (TUs), handle events at the transport unit level and record physical measurement tickets at each transport unit level. Also if a transport unit is broken in-transit or is lost, then it could be parked in a temporary storage location by moving away from the nomination. Once the replacement transport unit is available the quantity can be transferred and the transport unit is moved back to the same or a new nomination.

TSW Pipeline Cycle Improvement
This function allows the scheduler to communicate with partners using the pipeline Cycle Id
during the pumping of materials into the transport system. This cycle can be maintained at the nomination item level as well as at the header level. The TSW details of
the reference document allow this Cycle Id
to be maintained which when used in nomination item gets copied into it. Also in the SPW pop-up, the Cycle Id
can be maintained and when published into the nomination cycle id is copied.
Gas Allocation
This function fulfills the requirements of the gas pipeline industry related to adjustment and allocation of quantity differences which occur during gas transportation The gas process starts when the shipper enters into agreements to purchase certain quantities of gas from his suppliers and to sell certain quantities of gas to his customers. This may necessitate the transport of gas from one location to the other, and therefore the shipper requires the services of the transport system operator (TSO).
The shipper creates the unthreaded and transport nominations and sends this information to the TSO. Based on the unthreaded nominations, and subject to the freight contract between the TSO and the shipper, the shipper creates the transport nomination and sends this to the TSO. Thus, in the TSO’s system, the information both the unthreaded and threaded nominations are created, and the adjustment/allocation process can begin.
TSW Security Improvement
This function provides the authorization to a user based on transport system and location data. The user has separate authorization objects for ticket actualization, reversal and correction. Also for nomination creation via RFC, the authorization check is in place which uses transport system, location and shipper data to provide the authorization.
Business Objects for TSW: Scheduling Analytics
The BI content is developed for nomination (inclusive of nomination events, subitems and load discharge scheduling), ticketing and SPW applications in the IS-OIL TSW area. The data of these applications are shared by the business partners and also by external applications. BI content offers standard analytical reporting for the TSW functionality and thereby enhances the scheduling capabilities of the decision-makers in the operating enterprises.
Integration with Rack Pricing Optimizer
This function enables an integrated solution with a rack pricing optimizer.
There is no commercially available and packaged solution in the market today that enables the full pricing process cycle of strategy, determination, execution, and governance for all hydrocarbon products and channels of trade from refinery gate through the pump. The integration of price optimization software for the rack/commercial sales business is an important step to offer a comprehensive price management and optimization solution for the oil and gas industry.
