Class Type 400 in SAP
APO
You use class types to group together classes with the same attributes and functions.
Characteristics-dependent planning (CDP) and block planning in SAP APO use classes of class type 400. This class type does not exist in the ERP system. Classes of class type 400 are generated when integrating classes of class type 300 (configuration) and 023 (batch classification) from the ERP system.

If a configuration and a batch classification are transferred for a material from the ERP system to SAP APO, the characteristics from class of class type 023 and 300 are relevant for SAP APO. Both classes should contain identical APO-relevant characteristics (see SAP Note 526883).
