Define Data Transfer Sequence
You must transfer the data for CDP and block planning in a particular sequence to ensure consistent data.
If you are working with production data structures (PDS) as the source of supply for BOMs and routings, you must have maintained the blocks on the resource in SAP APO before transferring the PDS. Otherwise you cannot create any block planning-relevant orders for the PDS in SAP APO.
Transfer the data for CDP and block planning in the following sequence:
1. Classes and Characteristics
In SAP APO, create the organizational area that you specified for the integration of classes and characteristics in the integration model in the ERP system (see.Organizational Areas for Characteristics).
2. Work Centers

The work centers are assigned APO-specific supplements after integration has taken place. Find the resources using *Name Work Center*.
3.
If you have transferred work centers,
you must define the blocks on the resources in SAP APO (see
Block
Planning).
4. Materials
5. Master data (production data structures or PPM plans)

If you have transferred the PDS before defining the block planning relevance for the resources, you must transfer the PDS again (after defining the resources as relevant for block planning). You can use the following functions in the ERP system (plug-in):
Logistics → Central Functions → Supply Chain Planning Interface → Core Interface Advanced Planner and Optimization → Integration Model → Change Transfer → Production Data Structure (PDS) → Transfer Production Data Structure (PDS).
