You can use the Group Close2 business function to enhance the compliance functions of the Business Consolidation (SEM-BCS) component.
Prerequisites
The Business Consolidation (FIN-SEM-BCS) application component is configured.
The Group Close business function (FIN_ACC_GROUP_CLOSE) is activated.
Features
Document Approval from Flexible Upload of Document
You can initiate the Document Approval process from the Flexible Upload of Document function. The document is posted only after all responsible users approve it.
Web based SEM-BCS Workflow Inbox
You use this function to access Document Approvals, Monitor Status Change Approvals, and Sign-off Task Approvals via a Web browser. It is an alternative to using the SAP Business Workplace Inbox and the Universal Work List (UWL) on the Enterprise Portal.
Enhancements to creating and updating comments
Two enhancements are implemented for comments for all approval processes:
Saved comments cannot be updated. You can only add new comments.
You can now author comments for the Status Change Workflow.
Sign-off of financial statements in Consolidation Monitor
The Sign-off Task initiates an approval workflow of reported financial results. Assigned persons review and approve the documents.The Sign-off finishes the Group Closing procedure.
New XBRL functions in SEM-BCS Workbench
The XBRL functions in Workbench support the XBRL standard 2.1 standard.
Worksets for Local Accountant Monitor and Corporate Accountant Monitor for Enterprise Portal
Worksets are available to enable accessing Local Accountant Monitor and Corporate Accountant Monitor via the Enterprise Portal.
