Pegging-Relevant Quantity
Quantity of a requirement, stock, or receipt element that is relevant for dynamic pegging.
The system automatically determines the pegging-relevant quantity from other quantity data.

In the case of customer requirements, the pegging-relevant quantity can be the same as the confirmed quantity or the desired quantity. In the case of an external procurement order, the pegging-relevant quantity is equal to the total quantity to be delivered minus the quantity already delivered.
The following SAP APO planning applications take account of the pegging-relevant quantity during planning:
· Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
The
pegging-relevant quantity is relevant for the
net requirements
calculation in PP/DS
· Supply Network Planning (SNP)
In SNP, you define the quantity type that planning takes into account for each category in a category group. You could define the pegging-relevant quantity as a quantity type.
· Capable-to-Match(CTM)
The following tables provide an overview of the pegging-relevant quantity of various requirements and receipts.
Requirement |
Pegging-Relevant Requirement Quantity |
Customer requirement (from sales order or sales scheduling agreement) |
Customer
requirements for a product consist of a confirmed quantity and a desired
quantity. The
· If the indicator Confirmed quantity pegging-relevant is set in the PP planning procedure, the confirmed quantity is relevant for pegging. · If the indicator is not set, the desired quantity is relevant for pegging The pegging-relevant quantity is reduced by the quantity already delivered, if necessary. For more information, see Pegging-Relevant Quantity for Customer Requirements. |
Planned independent requirements |
The pegging-relevant requirement quantity is equal to the planned independent requirement quantity minus withdrawal quantities minus customer requirements. |
Dependent requirement |
The pegging-relevant requirement quantity is equal to the original dependent requirement quantity minus withdrawal quantities. |
Stock transfer requirements |
The pegging-relevant requirement quantity is equal to the purchase order quantity minus the quantity already delivered. |
Safety stock |
A requirement quantity has a minus sign.
Receipt |
Pegging-Relevant Receipt Quantity |
From in-house production |
· For a planned order, the receipt quantity is equal to the planned yield. · After a goods receipt posting for the manufacturing order, the receipt quantity is equal to the planned remaining yield. · After a confirmation of minimum or multiple receipts, the receipt quantity is equal to the expected remaining yield. |
From external procurement |
The receipt quantity is equal to the open purchase order quantity in this case. The open purchase order quantity is the total quantity to be delivered minus the quantity already delivered. |
Safety stock |
If there is a fixed pegging relationship between a requirements element and a receipt element, a specific partial quantity or the complete receipt quantity has fixed assignment to the requirement. For the receipt and the requirement, the PP/DS net requirements calculation and dynamic pegging only take account of the receipt quantity or the requirement quantity minus the assigned quantity.
