Pegging via Characteristics
When assigning a requirements element to a receipt element, the system compares the characteristics of both elements for characteristics-dependent planning (CDP).
The system checks the following data:
· Characteristic Requirements
· Characteristic value assignment, if no requirements were defined.
· Location-specific configuration from the product master for product variants.
You can also assign receipt and requirements elements to each other if no characteristic value assignment exists for an element (the characteristic values are not inconsistent in this case).
The requirements and receipt element must be assigned to the same class.
The following procedure applies when comparing characteristics:
· Comparing the valuation of receipts/requirements components:
The values of all valuated characteristics must be identical. If characteristics for receipt or requirements components are not valuated, the components can still be assigned to one another.
· Compare valuation and characteristic requirements of requirements and receipts components:
The values of the valuated characteristics must lie in the value range valid for the characteristic requirements.
