This business function provides you with a fully integrated application for the waste disposal industry with comprehensive new and enhanced functions for customer service as well as for the organization, management, and billing of waste disposal services. In addition to the benefits you are already familiar with in SAP Waste and Recycling , the business function provides you with a number of new features that allow you to process the sales and distribution of your services and waste disposal orders more quickly and efficiently. You benefit particularly from the fact that all new developments and processes have been created in close collaboration with the industry and implement a large number of specific requirements.

The business function for instance provides you with the waste disposal order cockpit , which is a powerful and user-friendly tool for processing waste disposal orders quickly and efficiently.

You can use the controlling cockpit for waste disposal orders to manage, prepare and make controlling postings to relevant objects in the waste disposal process. This uses the waste disposal order cockpit as a technology and process basis.

The Customer Interaction Center (CIC) , which has been extended significantly provided you with important functions such displaying billing documents for contracts from Sales and Distribution, logistics management and master data management. Flexible and individual preview and filter functions provide you with an optimized overview of all order data, services and contracts.

The most significant benefit is provided by the business function Waste & Recycling with Enhanced Sales Processing . It is tailored to the waste disposal service provider and provides you with all central customer service functions directly in the Waste Disposal Industry component. You can now process flexible customer contracts, define business partners and configure service products SAP Waste and Recycling .

Integration

You can enhance the functions in this business function with the Business Intelligence Content as of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Content Add-On 3 SP 06.

Features

Once you have activated the Waste & Recycling business function, you can use the following new and enhanced functions:

  • Enhanced Sales and Distribution Processing

    • Creation and management of contracts, orders, and quotations

    • Flexible configuration of service products

    • All functions are accessible in the Easy Access menu for Waste Management

  • Customer Interaction Center (CIC)

    • Filtering of waste disposal data according to new criteria: Service interval, container category, service type, and period

    • Preview of bill printout from Sales and Distribution component directly from CIC

    • Preview of waste order route list

    • Function for displaying the data environment of a container location or container, even if a service does not yet exist for the container

    • Search for business partners by their SD contract number using the Data Finder

    • Display service history with service frequency

    • Overview of a customer's waste disposal orders

    • Display all of a customer's SD bills

  • Integration of the Business Rule Framework (BRF)

    • The integration of the Business Rule Framework and the confirmation cockpit provides you with an event-controlled runtime environment and a tool for flexible processing of datasets, issuing notifications, and starting workflows or Business Object Repository (BOR) events. In the confirmation cockpit, you can define rules for technical transactions and business processes and have them processed in the runtime environment.

  • Waste Disposal Order Cockpit

    • Central and simplified management of waste disposal orders.

    • Following the integration with Business Process Exception Management (BPEM), you can now process and clarify exception events for mass generation of waste disposal orders and confirmation using the waste disposal order cockpit. You also determine and filter project-specific data.

  • New and Enhanced Accelerated Weighing Entry with Additional Functions and Processes

    • Clear and user-friendly screen structure

    • Additional checks using Waste Treatment , Transaction Type , and Waste Disposal Facility Type fields as well as the indicator for external delivery Easy determination of waste disposal facility type using Control pushbutton

    • User-specific settings for allocation of profile groups and waste disposal facilities for weighing

    • Save favorites – for example, templates for other workflows

    • New general object service for adding notes or files (such as photos) for a weighing document

    • Allocation of multiple weighing data records for a waste disposal order item

    • Automatic splitting of materials on receipt of goods

    • Relevance for goods movements and billing using weighing process types such as in-house weighing or control weighing

    • Price simulation for external weighing

    • Entry of shift dates and times

    • Mapping materials using batches

    • Manual entry of tare weight

    • Definition of additional entries for tare weight, such as people, snow chains, and so on

    • Entry of multiple containers with container category or equipment number

    • Weight check with regard to agreed quantities or exceeded quantities

    • Reversal of weighing document for which posting from Materials Management is also reversed

    • New Data Identifier for determining data in the following scenarios:

      • Determination of data using license plate number

      • Data determination using contract and/or business partner

      • Data determination using identification number of favorites

      • Determination of data using waste disposal order and item

  • Enhanced Master Data Management

    • Processing of contract partner in location management

    • New service interval Daily Frequency

    • Definition of billing relevance for notes
