Use
If the production- or process-related constraints permit, the system creates exactly one receipt in this lot-sizing procedure in order to cover a requirement that is not covered (for products produced in-house including
assembly scrap). The desired availability date is the requirements date. To take production- or process-related constraints into account in lot formation, you can also plan with a minimum lot size, a maximum lot size and rounding. If the procurement quantity exceeds the maximum lot size, the system must create several receipts for the requirements date in order to cover the requirement.Prerequisites
In order that the system uses this lot-sizing procedure, you must have specified the lot-sizing procedure Lot-for-Lot Order Quantity at the place relevant to the application (for example, location product master or heuristic settings).
Example
To cover an uncovered requirement of 100 pieces the system must create a receipt with a purchase order quantity (external procurement) or with a yield (in-house production) of 100 pieces. For more examples see
minimum lot size, maximum lot size and rounding.
