Controlling the Initial Transfer of Planned
Orders
The main prerequisite for an initial transfer is the existence of an integration model for planned orders. If you do not make any additional settings, only PP/DS planned orders are created when planned orders are transferred from SAP R/3 to SAP APO.
There are two settings that you can use to control the initial transfer of planned orders in greater detail:
Depending on the combination in which you use these settings, you can control the system behavior in the following ways during integration model activation:
1. SAP R/3 planned orders are generally mapped as PP/DS planned orders in SAP APO whether they lie inside or outside of the SNP production horizon.
2. SAP R/3 planned orders are created in SAP APO as PP/DS planned orders if they lie within the SNP production horizon. If they lie outside of the SNP production horizon (that is, in the SNP planning horizon), they are created as SNP planned orders.
3. SAP R/3 planned orders are created in SAP APO as PP/DS planned orders if they lie within the SNP production horizon. If they lie outside of the SNP production horizon (that is, in the SNP planning horizon), they are not created.
The following table shows the combination of settings necessary to trigger this system behavior:
