You can use this Business Function to map the entire process of claims handling in the line of auto insurance.

SAP provides preconfigured sample Customizing for the German and US markets, enabling you to reduce the implementation effort considerably.

Integration

This Business Function optimizes the claims handling processes in the line of auto insurance. It also contains functional enhancements for the line of auto insurance.

This Business Function uses functions of the Business Function Insurance Claims Handling (INS_FSCM_CI_1). As soon as you activate the Business Function Insurance Auto Claim Best Practice (INS_FSCM_AUTO) , the Business Function Insurance Claims Handling (INS_FSCM_CI_1) is activated automatically.

The Business Function contains the following improvements:

  • New screen Coverage Overview

    The system displays the assigned coverages for subclaims on this new screen.

    The additional information displayed for each subclaim includes:

    • Status

    • Reserve

    • Total incurred

  • Improved usability

    • At claim header level the pushbuttons are no longer displayed as icons but as text pushbuttons.

    • When you create an injured person in claims processing, the input help displays all claimants assigned to the claim.

  • Integration of invoice

    In the line of auto for the US market, you can use the standard function Invoices for certain coverages (such as medical) (includes Invoice Entry and Payment Proposal).

  • Improved status management

    The following statuses are available in claims processing at claim and subclaim level:

    • Open

    • Closed

    • Reopened
