Activating Fixed Pegging
To ensure that fixed pegging relationships are retained throughout SAP APO, even after a document change in SAP R/3, you must make certain settings.
In the IMG activity Maintain Global Parameters and Defaults, you must choose a setting in the Activate Fixed Pegging field that activates fixed pegging with retention of the pegging relationships, even after document changes:
· You can activate fixed pegging for all products of a client, by choosing the setting Fixed Pegging Active at Client Level.
· You can activate fixed pegging for certain products only. To do this, choose the setting Fixed Pegging Active at Product Level and in the product master set the indicator 1 Fixed Pegging Is Active for Product, in the Fixed Pegging field.
· However, you can also exclude certain products from fixed pegging if you have activated fixed pegging at client level. To do this, set the indicator 2 Exclude Product from Fixed Pegging in the product master.
During data transfer from R/3 to SAP APO, all supported document types, with the exception of stocks and inspection lots, bring with them information about the preceding document. It is not necessary for you to make any special Customizing settings. So that stocks and inspection lots also bring this information with them, you must make the following settings in the R/3 system:
· In Customizing for the R/3 system, choose Integration with Other SAP Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Application-Specific Settings and Enhancements for Stocks → Activate Fixed Pegging for Stocks.
· If you use inspection lots, choose Integration with Other SAP Components → Advanced Planning and Optimization → Application-Specific Settings and Enhancements for Inspection Lots → Activate Fixed Pegging for Inspection Lots in Customizing for the R/3 system.
