Setting Default Values
(Characteristic-Dependent)
You can use dependencies to influence master data fields such as operation duration, component requirements, scrap quantity, sequence number of the operation, setup key, and so on. You use reference characteristics that refer to the master data fields. When the reference characteristic is valuated, the relevant master record is assigned the same value. As a rule, the value for the reference characteristic is derived using object dependencies (see also Changing Master Data with Dependencies).
· The reference characteristics should not be included in a class with class type 400 as they are only used at the object dependency.
· You must specify reference characteristics without class assignment as additional characteristics in the integration model.
Alternatively, you can use a help class to group together reference characteristics for the transport to SAP APO. During this procedure, you select reference characteristics in the integration model using the organizational area.
· Adjust the reference to the master data in SAP APO. You can make the necessary settings in Customizing of SAP APO under Advanced Planning and Optimization → Master Data → Classification and Configuration → Map Reference Characteristics.
