Integration

This is a technical integration of the Discrete Industries/Mill Products and Public Services business functions in one system and one client.

Activities

The following applies for activating the business function set:

  • As a Discrete Industries and Mill Product customer, you can switch from the Discrete Industries and Mill Product business function set to the Discrete Industries/Mill Products and Public Services business function set after an upgrade. Since you cannot use your system productively during the change from one business function set to another, you can only do the switch as part of an upgrade project or special implementation project.

  • After you have switched to the Discrete Industries/Mill Products and Public Services business function set, you can activate the Public Services business functions in addition to the Discrete Industries and Mill Products business functions.

  • As a new Discrete Industries and Mill Products customer, you can select the Discrete Industries and Mill Products business function set or theDiscrete Industries/Mill Products and Public Services business function set and then activate the business functions you want to use.

Note Note

A customer who uses the Utilities, Telco, Media, Insurance or Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable industry business function set cannot use the Public Services business functions set at the same time. These customers can also not use the Discrete Industries/Mill Products and Public Services business function set.
