Reuse Mode for the Planning File Entry 

Use

The system can react to a planning-relevant using the actions Create planning file entry or Start product heuristic immediately. This depends on the PP planning procedure that you entered in the location product master. The system immediately creates a planning file entry for both these actions when a relevant event occurs. In the case of the action Start product heuristic immediately, the system then performs the product heuristic. In the case of the action Create planning file entry, you start the planning run at a later point in time.

The planning file entry has a reuse mode. The system automatically determines the reuse mode for the planning file entry from the reuse mode in the PP planning procedure and the reuse mode for the planning file entry in the planning file.

Features

SAP has defined a specific reuse mode for the various event-action combinations in the PP planning procedure. If an event triggers the action Create planning file entry or Start product heuristic immediately, and a reuse mode has not yet been entered in the planning file, the system enters the reuse mode from the PP planning procedure into the planning file. If an event occurs afterwards, for which another reuse mode is entered in the PP planning procedure, the system uses the matrix to determine a resulting reuse mode from this reuse mode and the reuse mode in the planning file. It enters this in the planning file, and so on. The system updates the reuse mode in the planning file for each event.
