Units of Measure for the Procurement Quantity Calculation
Use
As standard, the values for the following parameters refer to the base unit of measure of the location product:
Fixed lot size
Minimum lot size
Maximum lot size
Rounding value and rounding values in the rounding profile
If necessary, you can also specify this data in an alternative unit of measure. The system takes this into account accordingly in the procurement quantity calculation.
Prerequisites
In order that the system uses the alternative unit of measure,
- You must have specified the conversion of the alternative unit of measure into the base unit of measure in the location product master on the Units of Measure tab page
- You must have specified an alternative unit of measure in the location product master on the Lot Size tab in the Lot Size Unit field
Example
The base unit of measure of a location product is Piece. If you enter 2 as fixed lot size, the receipt quantity of a receipt created automatically is 2 pieces
If you use Palette as an alternative unit of measure, and specify 2 as fixed lot size, the receipt quantity is 2 palettes. If according to the conversion a palette contains 24 pieces, the receipt quantity is 48 pieces.
