You can use this business function to activate the cross-role enhancements for integrating HCM Processes and Forms with the Employee Interaction Center and E-Recruiting . You can also activate the new services for Manager Self-Service and Employee Self-Service .

In particular, you can use this business function to activate the following functions:

Enhancement of Integration with E-Recruiting
  • The system checks the consistency of the data that was transmitted from E-Recruiting to HCM Processes and Forms using the SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure (XI interface) interface. If unexpected situations occur, the HR Administrator has an additional view in the portal for selecting the appropriate request and a personnel number is displayed, if necessary, before the HR Administrator can select the suitable process.

  • The XI interface now also supports processes for rehiring and transferring employees.

Integration with the Employee Interaction Center (EIC)

For more information about integrating with the EIC, see the documentation for the Business Function HCM, Employee Interaction Center 01 (HCM_EIC_CI_1) under "Automated Personnel Management Processes".

  • You have activated the Enterprise Extension Human Capital Management (EA-HR) in your ERP system.

  • You have activated the business function HCM, Administrative Services 01 in your ERP system.

    Note Note

    You can activate the functions for EIC integration with either the existing business function or with the business function HCM, Employee Interaction Center 01 . You do not need to activate both business functions.

    The business function HCM, Administrative Services 01 uses the switch HRASR_SFWS_UI_ENH_02 to activate all functions for HCM Processes and Forms that are part of Enhancement Package 2. To use the functions provided with Enhancement Package 2, you must use the functions for HCM Processes and Forms provided with Enhancement Package 1. Therefore, the business function also comprises the switch HRASR_SFWS_UI_ENH_01 for all HCM Processes and Forms functions that were part of Enhancement Package 1.

Enhancement of Integration with E-Recruiting

The following prerequisites apply to integration with E-Recruiting .

  • To send the data using the XI interface, in Customizing for HR Administrative Services you must have made the settings under Start of the navigation path Configuration of Forms/Processes Next navigation step XI Integration End of the navigation path .

  • The standard system contains the following sample processes for integrating E-Recruiting.

    • Hiring, Permanent (Germany)

    • Hiring (US)

    • Rehire (Germany)

    • Rehire (US)

    • Transfer, Initiated by E-Recruiting (International)

      To use the sample processes for test purposes, in Customizing for HR Administrative Services you must have made the settings under Start of the navigation path Configuration of Forms/Processes Next navigation step Sample Processes for HCM Processes and Forms End of the navigation path .

Integration with the Employee Interaction Center (EIC)

The following prerequisites apply to integration with the EIC:

  • You have implemented and configured the Employee Interaction Center .

  • You have switched on the ASR_INT constant in the EIC constant table THREIC_CONSTANTS. In Customizing for the Employee Interaction Center , under Start of the navigation path Interaction Center Web-Client Next navigation step Task Functions Next navigation step Basic Settings End of the navigation path , perform the IMG activity Define Application Constants .

Additional Services for Self-Services

The following prerequisites also apply to the self-services:

  • To use the services for managers, you must have integrated the appropriate portal pages and iViews into the manager portal role of the Business Package for Manager Self-Service 1.0 . For more information, see SAP Note 1048386.

  • To use the services for employees, you must have installed the Business Package for Employee Self-Service 1.2 that contains the required iViews.

Features

Enhancement of Integration with E-Recruiting

This business function enhances the step in which the HR Administrator selects the appropriate process for processing the data transmitted from E-Recruiting to the HR system as follows:

  • If the system does not find any inconsistencies when checking the transmitted data, the HR Administrator can continue to run a process for the suggested request.

  • If the system cannot make the decision about the request to select, or about the affected personnel number, and the HR Administrator has to make this decision, the HR Administrator receives a new additional view.

    Example Example

    For a hire request, the system checks whether the name and date of birth of the candidate match an employee already in the HR system. If this is the case, the HR Administrator must decide whether to request a hire or a transfer.

    In the new view, the HR Administrator can perform the following activities:

    • Select Type of Request

      The HR Administrator can decide between the following requests:

      • New Hire Request from E-Recruiting

      • Rehire Request from E-Recruiting

      • Transfer Request from E-Recruiting

    • Find Employees

      In the HR system, the HR Administrator can search for a person or personnel number, and select a different personnel number for the process to the personnel number suggested. After this step, the HR Administrator can select the appropriate process for hiring, rehiring, or transferring. Before this, the system checks whether the combination of the selected request type and personnel number is permitted.

    • Reject Message

      The HR Administrator can specify a reason to reject the request from E-Recruiting .

Additional Services for Self-Services
  • Manager Self-Service

    In the Business Package for Manager Self-Service , the Employee Information area provides the manager with general information and data on his or her employees. The manager can use the new services activated with this business function to also perform the following activities:

    • The manager can run a process for a previously selected employee.

      The manager can use the Start Processes service in the Related Activities iView. The previously selected employee is automatically transferred to the Start Processes service. The manager can immediately select and run a process from the list of available processes.

      The manager can also choose to directly access the Start Processes iView.

    • He or she can check which processes were run for this employee and what statuses the processes have.

      The manager can use the Display Processes service in the Related Activities iView. The previously selected employee is automatically transferred to the Display Processes service. The manager can use the service to search for running or completed processes for the selected employee. He or she can use various criteria for the search, such as the process status.

    • The manager has access to an employee's Digital Personnel File.

      He or she can use the Display Personnel File service in the Related Activities iView. The previously selected employee is automatically transferred to the Display Personnel File service.

      The manager is provided with all relevant information on his or her employees.

  • Employee Self-Service

    The new Business Package version Business Package for Employee Self-Service 1.2 is available for the employee portal role. This Business Package version is enhanced with iViews that the employee can use to start processes, display running processes, and track the status of processes. Furthermore, the employee can use the Display Personnel File service to access the documents and data for his or her personnel number.

    The following new services are activated for the employee using this business function:

    The services for starting the Maternity Leave , Birth of a Child , and Termination processes were previously available. You use this business function to activate the new version of the services that is now available in Web Dynpro for ABAP.
