Processing Procurement Proposals Created by a Conversion
Use
After Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) has successfully converted ATP tree structures and has created procurement proposals, only restricted changes are possible for these procurement proposals. In particular, PP/DS no longer permits a re-explosion of the plan (PPM plan, iPPE process structure, runtime object) for planned orders, since a re-explosion could undo existing product substitutions again.

A re-explosion is only possible with backorder processing, provided you have not yet transferred the planned order to the SAP R/3 system.
Features
Changes not permitted
The following changes are not possible for procurement proposals that resulted from the conversion of an ATP tree structure:
In the order view the relevant fields are therefore not ready for input.
Permitted changes
The following changes are permitted for procurement proposals that resulted from the conversion of an ATP tree structure:
Rescheduling may take place manually or through the PP/DS optimization. A planned order may also be rescheduled to a date outside its validity area, which would normally mean a re-explosion of the plan. In this case, however, the system does not re-explode the plan, but only creates a message.
If you transfer a planned order or purchase requisition into the SAP R/3 system, with the conversion indicator set, the SAP R/3 system immediately converts the procurement proposal into a manufacturing order or a purchase order
Basically, you should transfer procurement proposals that resulted from a conversion of ATP tree structures to the SAP R/3 system with conversion indicator set. However, the transfer should only take place when the execution of the orders should actually begin, since the adjustment of the orders to changed sales orders using the function
recreating procurement proposals is no longer possible after the transfer. You can delete procurement proposals manually, independent of their status. Only the recreating procurement proposals function may delete procurement proposals automatically.
You can change quantities, dates, products and source of supply of components.

The special handling of the procurement proposals, created by the conversion of an ATP tree structure, is based internally on the application indicator MATP that the procurement proposals acquire during the conversion. This indicator prevents re-explosion for planned orders, for example. A planned order that has not resulted from the conversion of an ATP tree structure has the application indicator CDPS. When a planned order is transferred to the SAP R/3 system, the application indicator is set automatically from MATP to CDPS.
