You can use this business function to exchange student data between Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) and Studielink. Based on the information received, the SLcM system processes the application, and sends the status of application to Studielink. Additionally, you can also exchange information with IB-Groep for student grants.

Integration

The feature Integration with Studielink is an extension of the SAP Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) solution, for Netherlands. It enables the system to integrate with Studielink through SAP NetWeaver XI. The feature is an extension to the business scenario of Recruitment and Admission.

Prerequisites

You have installed the following components as of the version mentioned:

SAP ERP 6.0 Enhancement Package 4

You have activated the business function set CAMPUS_MANAGEMENT and the business function ISHERCM_ESOA.

Before activating the business function, you can configure the standard settings required for the functioning of the SLcM solution. For more information, see Student Lifecycle Management.

After the activation of the business function, you must configure the settings required for the functioning of the solution provided by this business function. Features

Using the SLcM solution, it is possible for Universities in Netherlands to exchange student data with Studielink, which uploads student information on to a Webservice provided to it by the University.

The exchange of information between SLcM and Studielink takes place using SAP XI system, which converts incoming messages from Studielink to a format understood by the SLcM system. In case of outgoing messages from SLcM to Studielink, the SAP XI system converts the message into an XML message format, recognized by the Studielink system.

Additionally, the SLcM system also exchanges messages related to student grants with the IB-Groep. The exchange of messages is in the flat file format.
