Features

The deletion of a manufacturing order in SAP R/3 consists of three steps:

·        Mark for deletion (set deletion flag)

The deletion flag renders the manufacturing order no longer relevant for material or capacity requirements planning. After a period of latency, the length of which you can specify, the deletion indicator can then be set.

·        Delete (set deletion indicator)

The deletion indicator flags the order for archival.

In contrast to the deletion flag, this status cannot be reversed in SAP R/3.  After a period of latency, the length of which you can specify, the order can then be archived which results in it also being physically deleted in SAP R/3.

·        Archive

The setting of either the deletion flag or the deletion indicator causes the order to be transferred to SAP APO with the status to be deleted and to be deleted there if it still exists.
