Changing or Displaying the Operative Production Rate / Takt Time

Use

Starting from the planning table, you can display and change the operative production rate/takt time you defined in Line Design. It makes sense to specify an operative rate if the production rate changes in the short-term for a certain period as then you do not have to change the planned production rate and takt times.

The operative production rate/takt time overrides the planned production rates and takt times in Line Design.

Procedure

Display

  1. Starting from the planning table choose Start of the navigation path Sequencing Next navigation step Oper.rate/takt time Next navigation step Display End of the navigation path .

  2. The system displays the dialog box Display Operative Rates / Takt Time. Here, the system displays the maximum production rate you may have maintained in the line hierarchy and the operative rates that you maintained in Line Design for certain periods.

  3. Choose the tab page Planned Rate to display the line balancing results – if you carried out line balancing.

Change

  1. Starting from the planning table choose Start of the navigation path Sequencing Next navigation step Oper.rate/takt time Next navigation step Change rate. End of the navigation path

  2. The system displays the dialog box Change Operative Rates / Takt Time.

  3. Enter the operative rate for the periods in which the rate differs from the planned rate.

Result

The system calculates the operative takt time using the specified operative production rate and uses this value for scheduling the planned orders that lie in the corresponding periods.
