Converting Planned Orders into Production Orders or Process Orders

Use

Planned orders with order type LA have to be converted into production orders before they can be produced.

Integration

If you have not maintained a production version for the material and the repetitive manufacturing indicator is not set, the system creates planned orders with the order type LA.

Features

In the planning table, you can convert planned orders into production orders. You can do this for one period, or for several periods, in which case you specify start and finish dates.

Activities

To convert planned orders into production orders, proceed as follows:

  1. Starting from the planning table, place the cursor on the production quantity and choose Start of the navigation path Quantity change Next navigation step Convert quantities Next navigation step In production order End of the navigation path or In process order.

  2. The planned order is converted into a production order or a process order. If the production quantity consists of several planned orders, these planned orders are all converted simultaneously into production orders or process orders. The system displays the row PrOrd. (production/process orders), in which you can now see the production quantity. You can display the production order data by double-clicking on the production quantity. However, you cannot change the production order data.

  3. If you wish to change the production/process orders, save your entries.

The system displays the initial screen.

Return to the planning table. You can display and change the production order data by double-clicking on the production quantity in the PrOrd. row.
