The production version contains the technical information on how a material can be manufactured. If this technical method has become outdated, you can delete the production version.
You must settle the product cost collector you created for the production version.
No more planned orders exist in the system which are assigned to this production version.
If you work with reporting points in make-to-stock REM, no more work in process (WIP) exists on the production line in question. That is, work in process must be closed in the period-end closing in Cost Object Controlling.
If an inspection lot exists, you must already have made the usage decision for the inspection lot.
For the period in which the last reporting point backflush was carried out and for all previous periods in which the run schedule header or the production version is valid.

From the MRP views in the material master record, choose
Prod.versions
.
The
Production Version Overview
dialog box appears.
Select the production version and choose
Delete
.
Choose
Continue
and save the material master record
.
When deleting the production version (or a run schedule header) the reporting point information is also deleted.
