Batches in the Goods Issue Process 

Purpose

You can display the selection criteria for each delivery item in the outbound delivery request and the outbound delivery order. In addition, when creating a warehouse task, the system selects only the batches that correspond to the predefined selection criteria.

Process

       1.      The ERP system can enter batch selection criteria for outbound deliveries. Here, ERP characterizes the batch and enters, for example color or density. The ERP system distributes these batch selection criteria to a connected EWM system with the outbound delivery.

       2.      You can execute the batch search in the picking process using characteristics or selection criteria that are stored in the selection class.

       3.      If you enter batches in the outbound delivery, the system then uses the batch that you specified.

       4.      When creating a warehouse task in the picking process, the EWM system only takes into account the batches for which the valuation also corresponds to the batch selection criteria that have been entered. If the quantity of a batch is insufficient to fill the required quantity for the warehouse task, the system recommends multiple batches that fit the selection criteria.

       5.      When creating a warehouse task or processing an outbound delivery, you can directly enter batches. If you have set the Check Selection Criteria Against Batch Characteristics indicator to Check in Customizing, the EWM system checks automatically whether the batch you have entered meets the selection criteria.        6.      When creating a warehouse task for outbound delivery, you can display a list of all available stocks for a particular product based on the batch selection criteria. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Extended Warehouse Management ® Work Scheduling ® Create Warehouse Task for Warehouse Request ® Stock Removal for Outbound Delivery Order.

       7.      When batches are removed, the goods issue process continues as before.
