You can use SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure (SAP All) in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to execute the following:
● Control of the RFID devices (RFID printer, scanner, and so on)
● Printing control for RFID labels
● Coding and decoding of IDs (for example EPCs)
● Triggering of four standard EWM actions after reading RFID labels:
○ Confirm warehouse task
○ Loading/unloading
For more information, see Automatic Loading and Unloading with RFID.
○ Automatic packing
For more information, see Automatic Packing Using RFID.
● Triggering customer-defined actions
For more information, see Create Your Own Actions for RFID.
To be able to integrate EWM with SAP All, you must make various settings in Customizing for SAP All. For more information, see Customizing in SAP All.
As standard, communication is performed between EWM and SAP All using Web Services.
● An EWM Web Service in SAP AII to trigger actions in EWM. This is called from SAP All and has the technical name: /SCWM/RFID_AII_EWM.
● Three SAP All Web Services that are called from EWM. These Web Services are:
○ Web Services for ID coding
○ Web Service for ID decoding
○ Web Service for printing
For more information about how to set up Web Services for communication with SAP All, see SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com ® Supply Chain Management ® RFID ® Details ® RFID-Enabled Flexible Delivery Processing: Configuration Guide ® Configuring Web Services.
Communication between SAP Extended Warehouse Management and SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure can be established using RFC connections.
For more information about setting up RFC connections for communication between EWM and SAP All, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Extended Warehouse Management under Interfaces ® RFID ® Determine RFC Destination for SAP All Communication.
