Managing Transaction Identifiers (TID) 

Purpose

To ensure the security of the data to transfer, you must work with a unique identifier for a communication transaction. This ID allows the receiving system to recognize whether this data has already been received and processed.

Process

The following diagram shows the schematic process flow between the sending and receiving system:

 

Example

For example, communication could be terminated suddenly during the transmission of data for mobile entry of goods receipts. The processor would send the data again to ensure your update in the SAP system. However, if the data had already been received and processed in the the SAP system after the first attempt at sending, the system must be able to recognize this. It should not process the data a second time.
