If the SAP HANA database you are connecting to is running
on an SAP HANA cluster, there is the possibility of a failover
event. Configure ESP to support
SAP HANA failover by adding connection information for
each of the nodes in the cluster to the existing data service configuration.
Prerequisites
- Set up a data service with a connection to the target SAP HANA
database.
Procedure
- In Studio, open the
SAP ESP Authoring perspective.
- In the data services view, right-click the SAP ESP
server, and select Load Workspaces.
- Right-click on the appropriate workspace, and select Load
Services.
- Select the data service that connects to the SAP HANA
database.
- In the properties view:
- If the data service uses JDBC, locate the Connection
String field. For each additional node in the cluster, enter
a semicolon, followed by the fully qualified domain name of the host, a
colon, and the port number to use when connecting to the
SAP HANA database.
- If the data service uses ODBC, open the ODBC DSN and locate the
connection for the SAP HANA database. For each
additional node in the cluster, enter a semicolon, followed by the fully
qualified domain name of the host, a colon, and the port number to use when
connecting to the SAP HANA database.
