Enabling the RFC AdapterLocate this document in the navigation structure

If you plan to use the RFC adapter, you must copy some files from the SAP Java Connector (JCo) 3.0.9 to your Event Stream Processor installation.

Prerequisites

You must be authorized to download software from the SAP Service Marketplace (SMP).

Procedure

  1. Point your browser to https://websmp101.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000719293Information published on SAP site
    SMP displays the RFC Library home page.
  2. In the pane on the left, expand Start of the navigation path SAP Java Connector Next navigation step Tools & Services End of the navigation path.
    SMP displays the SAP Java Connector Download page.
  3. Under Quick Links, click on Download SAP JCo Release 3.0.
  4. Scroll down to the operating system you are running and select the zip file for the type of processors in your system.
  5. Select or create a folder, and extract the zip file to it.
  6. Navigate to that folder, and copy the sapjco3.jar file to:
    Linux or Solaris: $STREAMING_HOME/adapters/rfc/libj
    Windows: %STREAMING_HOME%\adapters\rfc\libj
  7. Linux and Solaris only: Navigate to $STREAMING_HOME/adapters/rfc and create a directory named lib.
  8. Linux and Solaris only: copy the libsapjco3.so file to $STREAMING_HOME/adapters/rfc/lib.
  9. Windows only: copy the sapjco3.dll file to %STREAMING_HOME%\adapters\rfc/bin.
  10. Follow the installation instructions included with SAP JCo.
