Commitments
Use
The commitments for the sales document item shows you the costs expected from purchase orders.
Prerequisites
Go into Customizing for
Controlling
under
General Controlling
Organization
Maintain controlling area
and select the indicators
Sales orders
and
With commitment management
for the applicable fiscal year.
Features
Commitments show you the contractual or planned commitments that do not yet affect accounting (no expenses yet) but that will result in actual costs at a later time. This allows you to analyze the effects on cost accounting of purchase orders for sales document items.
At the end of the fiscal year you can transfer the commitment to the next fiscal year. You do this with the function
commitment carried forward
