Status Overview

In the status overview, the system displays the conversions sorted according to their status, and with the corresponding material.

Being created

After you have created a conversion, it appears underneath this node. When you create or change a conversion, you only need to maintain a descriptive text. Additional entries are briefly checked for plausibility (For example, Does the material exist in the system? Is the material assigned to the batch class?). To release a conversion, the prerequisites listed in Batch Class Conversion must be fulfilled.

You can carry out the following activities for conversions that have the status Being created :

  • Check ( ):

When you choose for a conversion line, the system checks whether the necessary prerequisites for the conversion have been fulfilled.

Also, the system estimates how much time is needed to perform the conversion. The time determined by the system is then displayed in the conversion line in the column Time .

  • Check and Release ( ):

When you want to release the conversion, choose . After you have confirmed your actions in the confirmation prompt, the system performs consistency checks and an estimation of the resources required. If no errors occur, the conversion receives the status Released (R) and appears under the node Released.

  • Change ( ):

You can still change conversions with this status by choosing .

Released

After you have chosen , the conversion appears underneath this node. Conversions with this status should be started as soon as possible in order to avoid blocking the classes involved for long periods of time.

For released conversions you can perform one of the following activities:

  • Check ( ):

For safety reasons, you can perform another check.

  • Start conversion ( ):

To start the conversion, choose and choose Yes in the confirmation prompt .

  • Cancel release ( ):

If you want to cancel the release of a conversion, for example, because you want to make further changes, choose . The conversion then has the status Being created again, and appears under the node Being created .

Current

Once a conversion has been started, you cannot stop it. Conversions found under the node Current were started either in another session or using background processing.

 Finished with errors

An error in a conversion occurs when the material or the class is currently being processed, i.e. it is blocked. The reason for the error is listed in the log on the detail screen. Because the conversion must be completed, you need to remove the cause of the error.

In the checks using , the system does not check for any blocks because these can change so quickly.

 Finished without errors

For conversions with this status, all materials including batches have been successfully converted. For reasons to do with the creation of logs, these conversions cannot be deleted. Choose to display successful conversions for different periods.

Deleted

These are conversions that have been flagged for deletion. When you choose , the affected conversion is deleted from the database. This decision cannot be reversed.

Choose to remove the deletion flag for a conversion. The conversion then reappears under the node Being created . However, the material to be converted must not yet be contained in another conversion.
