 Defining Versions

Use

The results analysis version allows you to simultaneously carry out the valuation of a particular WBS element in line with GCC and IAS. You define different versions to enable you to update different valuations of one particular WBS element.

Note Note

For Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) , you can only settle results analysis data which has been calculated with results analysis version 0. Prerequisites

You can find information about prerequisites in the implementation guide in the documentation for the IMG activities mentioned below.

Procedure

  1. Create a version.

    1. a.In Customizing for Controlling choose Start of the navigation path General Controlling Next navigation step Organization Next navigation step Maintain Versions. End of the navigation path

      Make sure you activate the version for the results analysis.

    2. b. Choose General Version Definition in the left screen area.

    3. c. Flag the indicator WIP/RA so that data from the results analysis and WIP calculation is administrated in the version.

    4. d. In the left screen area choose Controlling Area Settings

    5. e. Set the flag WIP/RA to activate the controlling area for the results analysis.

    6. f. Save your input.

  2. Process the version-specific settings for the results analysis.

    1. a.In Customizing for Project System under Start of the navigation path Revenues and Earnings Next navigation step Automatic and Periodic Allocations Next navigation step Results Analysis Next navigation step Edit Results Analysis Keys and Version Next navigation step Maintain Results Analysis Versions.     2. b. Enter the Technical Results Analysis Cost Element .

    3. c. Save your input.

Example

Valuation in line with the German Commercial Code and the International Accounting Standard is updated in different versions. For GCC valuation you define version 0 and for IAS valuation version 1.

Separation of the assets is not possible.
