  Job Posting

Definition

Posting announcing one or more vacant jobs and for which potential candidates can apply. The contents of a posting can include a company-internal view or an external, market-oriented view of the job posting, depending on whether the posting is meant for internal or external publication.

The job posting is based on the associated Requisition . Several job postings can be assigned to one requisition.

Use

Managers or recruiters publish a job posting for a requisition to inform potential candidates about one or more vacant jobs. Tasks, hiring date, payment, and requirements of the future employee can be defined in the job posting.

A job posting can be published in various posting channels and for various periods. You can create various Publications for a job posting.

Structure

The structure of the job posting contains the following data:

Descriptions

Free text that together with the basic data is published in a job posting. It can contain short descriptions on the department, project, tasks, or requirements, for example. Candidates use these descriptions to find out information about the announced job. The descriptions can be created in several language versions. A publication that is based on the job posting contains the descriptions and the basic data.

Basic Data

The basic data includes the title of the job posting, the working time , and the work contract type . A publication that is based on the job posting contains the basic data and the descriptions.

Status

The status of the job posting can have the following specifications:

  • Draft

  • Released

    Note Note

    A job posting can only be released if the assigned requisition is also released.

    End of the note.
  • Closed (A job posting in this status can be reset to the status Draft or Released .)

  • To be deleted (The job posting no longer appears in the recruiter’s worklist. The system administrator will delete it for good.)
