 Setting Indices Using the Workflow

Selection profiles for worklists can be based on index tables. SAP delivers for the dashboard of the recruiter, for example, the following worklists that are based on index tables:

  • New Applications

  • New External Candidates

SAP E-Recruiting uses the workflow Status Change (ERCStatusChg) to set the relevant indices for the objects Application and Candidate. For information about the workflow Status Change, see Workflow After Status Changes to E-Recruiting Objects .

New Applications

The workflow starts when the status of an application is set to In Process .

The workflow sets an index with the following attributes for the application:

  • Application Area: Applications

  • Index Group: MNEWID

Once the system has read the index table using the corresponding selection profile, the application is visible for the recruiter as a work item in the New Applications worklist.

If the candidate withdraws his or her application, the status of the application is changed to Withdrawn . In this case, the workflow deletes the index so that the application no longer exists as a work item in the worklist.

New External Candidates

The workflow starts when the status of a candidate’s candidate profile is set to Released .

If the candidate is an external candidate, the workflow sets an index with the following attributes for the candidate:

  • Application Area: Candidates

  • Index Group: MNWENA

Once the system has read the index table using the corresponding selection profile, the candidate is visible for the recruiter as a work item in the New Candidates worklist.

If the candidate locks his or her profile, the status of the profile is changed to Locked . In this case, the workflow deletes the index so that the corresponding candidate no longer exists as a work item in the worklist.
