 Questionnaire

Definition

Form containing questions to be answered by a candidate interested in a job posting, for example. A questionnaire contains questions and their possible responses or free form text fields. The texts for a questionnaire can exist in different language versions.

A questionnaire can be sent to a candidate as a link by e-mail, can be integrated in the application wizard , or can be completed by the recruiter for the applicant in a telephone interview.

There are different categories of questionnaires, namely Equal Employment Opportunities Information questionnaires that only contain EEO-specific questions, and Evaluable Information questionnaires that contain questions on all other topics.

Use

The recruiter can construct the questionnaire using individual questions as best meets his or her requirements.

You can specify expected responses in Evaluable Information questionnaires, that is, responses that the candidate must give. You can also store ratings for individual responses to questions. This enables you to elicit information from candidates, which you can then evaluate either manually or using the Ranking by Questionnaire function.

To fulfill the legal requirements for equal employment opportunities, questionnaires of the category EEO information can be evaluated. EEO questionnaires may only be evaluated by specially authorized persons.

Structure

The basic elements of a questionnaire are:

Basic Data
  • Title (on each of the tab pages for the available languages)

    Note Note

A tab page is available for each language that is stored in the IMG activity Determine Languages Available in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP E-Recruiting.

    End of the note.

Free-form text field containing the text of the question.

If the questionnaire is to be used later as part of the application wizard , the title is used to label the relevant links in the Navigation toolbar.

  • Instructions (on each of the tab pages for the available languages)

Free-form text that can be formatted as required explaining how to complete the questionnaire. The instructions are displayed on the questionnaire above the questions.

  • Group

Contains thematic groups into which questionnaires can be sorted to give a better overview.

  • Status

Indicates whether a questionnaire is still being processed, is released for general use, or should no longer be used.

Questions and Responses
  • Assigned Questions

Tab page containing all of the questions in the questionnaire. You can flag individual questions as mandatory. These must be answered before the questionnaire is considered successfully completed and saved, or before an application can be completed in the application wizard. If a candidate does not answer a question flagged as mandatory, the questionnaire cannot be saved.

  • Rating of Responses

Tab page containing all of the responses for the questions. You can specify a rating for questions in questionnaires of the Evaluable Information category. The system uses the rating to evaluate and compare candidates’ responses. You can also flag responses as expected responses. Candidates must supply an explicitly defined response to such questions to be considered for the job.
