 Document Selection

Use

Document selection checks the tax relevance of material documents. The system evaluates all documents that are flagged as “Not processed”. The system takes the following into account:

  • Relevant master data (such as alcohol content and procurement type)

  • Document information (for example, posting date)

  • Tax data (tax liability, duty suspension, and so on).

If the system considers a document to be tax-relevant, it stores the document in the excise duty documents.

We recommend that you schedule document selection as a daily job, for example, at night. In some specific cases it may be useful to call document selection during the day, for example, when documents posted subsequently at short notice have to be assigned for a period-end closing.
