Entering Notification Data Valid for the Whole Order

Prerequisites

You have not activated the assignment of operations for object list entries in Customizing under Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Define Notification and Order Integration .

If the assignment of operations to object list entries is active, then you access the confirmation without an operation number. In this case, all activities pertain to the header notification. You can find additional information under: Operations Notification or Header Notification?

Procedure for Overall Completion Confirmation

  1. Call up the overall completion confirmation , enter an order number (without operation number) in the header data area, and choose Continue .

The system reads the relevant data and displays it in the tables on the entry screen.

  1. Choose Notification . The following scenarios are possible:

  1. A notification (header notification) has already been assigned to the order header.

  2. The header data screen for this notification appears.

  3. No notification has yet been assigned to the order header:

After you have chosen Continue , you reach the header data screen for a new notification, which the system automatically assigns to the order header, when you save the confirmation. A header notification is created.

If you access the confirmation using only an order number, the system always creates a header notification . Even if you select an operation and then choose Notification , the system will still create a header notification.

Note Note

Depending on the system settings , you can also already enter notification data in the tables of the entry screen under tasks, causes, items, and activities. The system saves this data in the notification, which is assigned to the order header. If no notification is assigned to the order header, the system creates the notification using this data and assigns the notification to the order header.

Exception : You processed a notification from the object list, and subsequently entered data on the entry screen, then this entered data is transferred to the notification you last processed.

You cannot convert notifications that are in the object list for the order to header notifications.

End of the note.
  1. Enter the required data and choose Goto -> Back .

  2. You access the initial screen for the overall completion confirmation.

Before you save , note the following:

The overall completion confirmation saves all the data , which has been displayed in one step on the entry screen or the accompanying dialog boxes. It also saves proposal data .

If you do not want to save certain confirmation or proposal data, you must delete these lines from the tables before saving.

  3. Save your entries.
