Features

Once you have planned your marketing activities, you create the corresponding campaigns. You can create a campaign in the Marketing Planner in SAP CRM , or in the product master data in SAP for Media . You assign the target groups you selected in SAP NetWeaver BIto the campaign in the Marketing Planner. You cannot assign target groups to a campaign in SAP for Media . Campaigns are business partner-independent in SAP for Media.

You can use the following communication channels e-mail, telephone, fax, letter, mobile sales , and Internet for campaign execution in SAP CRM . You can also use the campaign automation and optimization functions in SAP CRMto simulate execution of a campaign, correct the planning data for the campaign according to the simulation results, and have the system execute the campaign automatically.

Orders for a campaign can be entered in the Customer Interaction Center (CIC) in SAP for Media , the Interaction Center (IC ) in SAP CRM , the Internet and by using Mobile Sales . If you enter the orders in the CICor IC, the system indicates which campaigns were assigned to the customer. During order entry, the system lists the template documents that belong to the campaign so that you can select one. The system transfers data in the template documents and the campaign ID to the order items created. You will normally only need to add order data or make minor changes. During order billing and contract, sales agent, and partner settlement, the system transfers the campaign ID to the follow-on documents for the order items.

You can transfer the planned costs of the campaign to the Project System in the Marketing Planner , so that the actual costs can be assigned to the corresponding WBS element. This means that you can check the campaign costs during campaign execution.

Information on campaigns, orders and costs is also transferred to SAP NetWeaver BIso that you can determine the response to campaigns after campaign execution and in doing so check the success of the campaign.

Note Note

If you only use the media-specific functions, you cannot use all the Campaign Management functions described here.
