The smallest unit of a questionnaire. It consists of a question text, some attributes, and the possible responses to the question. There are different question categories, namely
Evaluable Information
and
Equal Employment Information.
You use questions to create
questionnaires
.
You can make questions available for general use in a question library or create them directly in Questionnaire Maintenance and assign them to the questionnaire.
The basic elements of a question are:
Question
Free text field on tab pages that contain the language versions of the text of the question. A tab page is available for each language that is stored in the IMG activity
Determine Languages Available
in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP E-Recruiting.
Contains thematic groups into which questions can be sorted to give a better overview. The groups are defined in Customizing.
Status
Indicates whether a question is still being processed, is released for use in questionnaires, or should no longer be used.
Response Type
The response type specifies the type of possible responses.
The response types available are:
Predefined Scale
You create scales in Customizing for SAP E-Recruiting. You cannot change the number of responses or the descriptive texts of the scale specifications (responses) later when creating a question in the Recruiter user interface. When such a question is used in a questionnaire, the candidate completing it can only select one of the possible responses (Single Selection).
Input Field
A single line of text where the respondent can enter a short free-form text.
Input Area
An input area where the respondent can enter a free-form text of any length.
Single Selection
When you define a question with this response type, you can flexibly define the number of responses and the type of textual specification for the responses required for the Recruiter user interface. When such a question is used in a questionnaire, the respondent can only select one of the possible responses. The responses can exist in different language versions.
Multiple Selection
When you define a question with this
response type
, you can flexibly define the number of responses and the type of textual specification for the responses required for the Recruiter user interface. When such a question is used in a questionnaire, the respondent can select more than one of the possible responses. The responses can exist in different language versions.
Reporting Area
A selection field that only appears for
Equal Employment Information
questions when you specify the response types
single selection
or
multiple selection
. The field contains a predefined grouping of EEO-specific information about an
information area
. You specify this grouping in Customizing.
Field
A selection field that only appears for
Equal Employment Information
questions when you specify the response types
single selection
or
multiple selection
. The field contains EEO-relevant information taken from an information field of the selected reporting area. The values assigned to the information field are automatically entered as possible responses. You can define information fields and assign values to them in
Customizing
for E-Recruiting.
These contain the possible values used for answering a question. You have the option of using your own customer responses or predefined responses from a scale.
Like the texts for questions, the texts for your own customer responses can be created in different language versions.
Responses to
Equal Employment Opportunities
questions of the response type
Single Selection
or
Multiple Selection
are automatically defaulted according to the assignment of information fields and their values made in Customizing.
