 Candidate Search

Use

This process enables you to search for suitable candidates in the Talent Pool and then assign them to a succession plan. You determine your search criteria based on the requirements for potential candidates stored in the succession plan. You start the search and obtain a list of candidates that best fulfill these requirements. The predefined search criteria correspond to the entry fields that candidates store in their profile.

In addition to predefined search criteria, you can also search for candidates using a full-text search. The full-text search also enables you to search all information in candidates’ profiles. Depending on the system settings, you can also perform a full-text search on documents that candidates uploaded as attachments to supplement their profile.

Prerequisites

You are a member of the support team for the succession plan to which you want to assign candidates.

You can invoke a full-text search on attachments only if you have configured the search application accordingly in the IMG for SAP E-Recruiting under Succession Planning → Talent Warehouse → Candidate → Candidate Search → Search Profile → Assign Attachment Types to Search Profile Type .

Process Flow

  1. You choose Succession Planning on the start page ( Personal Pages view).

    The system displays a list with all succession plans to which you have access and that correspond to the relevant selection criteria.

  2. You select a succession plan and choose Candidate Search .

    The system launches the search application.

  3. You enter the desired search criteria and execute the search. For more information about the search, see Working with a Search Application .

    You can save search queries that you have created and use them again later.

  4. You select one or more suitable candidates and choose Assign Candidates .

    The system creates an assignment to the succession plan for each of these candidates. The candidates are removed from the search hit list and transferred to the list of assignments to the succession plan.

Result

You have assigned suitable candidates from the Talent Pool to the succession plan. You can now plan and perform activities for these assignments.
